The Jefferson Democratic Club of Northeast Queens has honored Mattone Group President Carl Mattone as “Business Leader of the Year”. District Leaders Carol Gresser and Ed Braunstein presented the awards at the annual Jefferson Democratic Club Annual Dinner Dance on Oct. 10, 2013.
New York Sate Comptroller, Honorable Thomas DiNapoli was honored as “Government Official of the Year” and President of New York City’s Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association Patrick J. Lynch was honored as “Labor Leader of the Year”.
Carl Mattone has over three decades of experience in the real estate development and construction industry. He is an active member of the community and supports numerous causes and organizations including his alma mater Holy Cross High School where he also served on the Board of Directors. Mr. Mattone also supports the Queens County Builders and Contractors Association.
Recognized for his civic and philanthropic achievements, Carl Mattone was honored as a top businessman at the annual Kings of Queens awards hosted by the Queens Courier in 2010 and the Golden Lion Dinner Awards in 2013.
Recently featured in the Queens Tribune, the Mattone Group was recognized for their smart development and ability to adapt since the collapse of the economy in 2008.
The Jefferson Democratic Club of Northeast Queens celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2010. The group represents Part A of the 26th Assembly District of New York which includes parts of Bayside, Bayside Hills, Douglaston, Floral Park, Glen Oaks, Little Neck, New Hyde Park, North Shore Towers and Oakland Gardens.
