Carl Mattone is an ardent believer in giving back to the communities in which he has lived and worked. He has contributed to a variety of causes.
An alumnus of Holy Cross High School, he has served on the school’s Board of Directors and was a recipient of its President’s Leadership Society Award. In addition, he founded and continues to fund Holy Cross’s Irene Mattone Scholarship.
Mr. Mattone’s involvement in education also includes contributing to the Queens Library Foundation, which supports thousands of free programs and services; the Futures in Education Foundation for deserving students in Brooklyn and Queens; and the Reading is Fundamental program at PS 129 in College Point.
Yet his concern and generosity extend beyond education, and he has supported various organizations and events, such as The Italian Charities of America, Order of Sons of Italy, Don Monti Memorial Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, Queens Museum of Art and the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade.
